About Us

Mission

The Center for Engineering and Computing Education is established to enhance engineering- and computer science-related education at the precollege, undergraduate and graduate levels. The Center supports the research, development and implementation of improved teaching methods and facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations. Informal, formal and novel programs for our constituencies that include hands-on, inquiry-based learning are promoted. The Center's long-term benefits to the State include the development of a technologically-literate population and workforce in South Carolina.

Vision

The University of South Carolina's Center for Engineering and Computing Education will become one of the nation's leading centers for the research and development of improved teaching and learning methods.
