Structures, Processes and Responses of Plants

Pretzels and Fungi

Uses the chemical reactions of yeast in its consumption of sugar to demonstrate some of the uses and functions of fungi.

Photosynthesis

Describes how green plants use sugar to produce energy from the sun and explains their importance for the survival of other organisms in the environment.

Photosynthesis Phun

Utilizes Skittles to show how the photosynthesis reaction balances.

Tree Growth

Enhances student knowledge of plants, including cell structure, parts, function and growth. From the GK-12 program at the Dept. of Marine Science, Univ. of Texas.
