4. Detection of microcracks
Figure 3: Microcarcks formed during a 3-point bending test of a liquid-molded test coupon (lower left). The microcracks propagated through the matrix and were stopped by the fiber bundles. Both the inter- and intra-bundle porosities are substantial.
