Academic and Cultural Interchange between the University of South Carolina and the University of Aizu, Japan

The University of South Carolina and University of Aizu in Japan have agreed to cooperate in the area of education and research in the field of Computer Science and Engineering in order to strengthen ties between both institutions and promote academic and cultural interchange. The agreement will enable student exchanges between the two institutions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It will also foster collaborative research among the faculty.


The University of Aizu is the first research university in Japan dedicated to computer science and engineering. It is unique in that over 40% of its faculty comes from overseas and all instruction is done in both Japanese and English.
