Meet the New Face of Engineering and Computing:
Casey Campbell

Hometown: Houston, TX
Major: Chemical engineering

Casey Campbell is a senior Chemical Engineering major. A member of AIChE, Tau Beta Pi and Omega Chi Epsilon, Campbell works with Chemical Engineering's Department Chair, Dr. Michael A. Matthews, on hydrogen storage research.

Answered Campbell when asked why choose to come all the way to Carolina from Texas... "I choose USC because of its progressive research in hydrogen and its reputation as a quality school."

After graduating in May 2008, Campbell plans to go into industry and specialize in design.

"The word 'design' as a job description covers a vast field of opportunities. It could be better defined as working for a company that is involved in E&C (i.e., engineering and constructing)." explained Campbell.

Campbell is the son of a nurse and a middle school science teacher; he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking.
