Project Lead the Way and USC receive international news coverage

Project Lead the Way's Summer Training Institute hosted at the College of Engineering and Computing at the University of South Carolina has received world-wide coverage on the web site, Computing News.

The article on the web site, listed in the business section, covers an exhibit by 3D Systems of its InVision LD 3-D Modeler which was held on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Project Lead the Way Summer Training Institute. The article also gives a description of Project Lead the Way and mentions USC, "a PLTW Affiliate", as host for this year's two summer training institutes.

Computing News, a weekly newspaper on IT technologies, is a Russian-only journal publishing 25,000 weekly with subscription and retail sales based in Belarus. Because they received a "resonable amount" of material in English, they launched an English web suppliment listing interviews, press releases and other contributions from English speaking authors. The Russian version of their web site (http://www.nestor.minsk.by/kg/) receives a daily average of 8,250 unique visitors; the English site receives a daily average of 2,460 unique visitors.
