High School Certification
PLTW Certification Visit
Prepare:
The site visit generally takes one half to one full school day. PLTW classes will be observed in action and some student portfolios will be examined.
Please refer to the following PLTW web links regarding the certification process:
An itinerary will need to be developed for the day and persons scheduled to be interviewed. Plan times for observers to speak with the following people (ten to fifteen minutes):
- Students
- Teachers
- Parents - in person or by phone, if necessary
- Partnership team members (one or more)
- School Counselors
- Assistant Principal for curriculum, if appropriate
- Principal
