College of Engineering and Computing Faculty Search: Bioinformatics, University 0f South Carolina


The University of South Carolina seeks one tenure-track faculty member in bioinformatics.  Candidates from all areas of bioinformatics will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates suitable for positions in the Departments of Statistics, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, or Mathematics.  This hire will complete a cluster hire that includes recent hires in Biological Sciences and in Computer Science and Engineering. 

Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to conduct research in bioinformatics addressing fundamental questions in biology and complementing existing strength at USC in the evolutionary analysis of molecular sequences, statistical data mining, design and analysis of microarray assays, and neural networks.
